A bleak support seemingly - a letter. Few words. And it supported the weight of all my desires and all my hopes that I hung on it.
The sentences stretched out like a rope, and I lay on it, trusting it more than a bed to support me once my eyes were closed in sleep.

Connaught Circle
The moment when a person turns an atheist ought to be a sad moment of life. Seeing from his point of view, he's discovered a truth which is a sad, sad truth. He's like a child who finally got to know that Santa Claus isn't real after all. Life doesn't end for sure with this knowledge, but it does get a little less purposeful.
Now there's a lot to be talked about this, but I don't know how important it is to know if god exists or not, because even if he does, he hasn't made this knowledge a necessity for us to live. But a lot of issues which have vital importance for my daily life end up with this question. It's like the Connaught Circle where if you don't know the way exactly, you're going to visit it again and again.
Anyway, something tells me we'll answer this question within this century. It might come up again later, but it'll be settled for some time.
(You know, now that I think of it, this is such an innocent post, but would have been enough to get me killed maybe 500 years back.)
Now believers know that he exists whether or not you believe in him. But atheists have to bear the burden of a little analysis here. They have to agree that he exists if you believe in him, since it's the belief which makes him exist, because obviously even believers aren't expecting him to come down and actually move things. But as soon as you start to think over his existence, he doesn't exist, again because of the faith thing. So, he exists when you believe he does, and doesn't when you don't. There's a lot lot to be talked about this, but I guess it's enough. We can't even agree upon a definition of god since he is undefinable for the believers and non-existent to atheists.
Imagine, somebody whose existence isn't yet certain is beyond doubt the most influential err.. person of our world.

Thoda Aur Chalega - The Tag
Tagger - Tapasya
Originator - Phoenix
The Original Announcement of Guidelines by Phoenix
(in her own words) -
"You got to write five things that you do have and are quite fond of/proud of because they really are good/feel-good (at least in your own perspective). These things can be anything...qualities, people, pets, clothes, goodies etc. Then you have to add one adjective to each, indicating what else you'd wish (dream, fantasise etc.) these things to also have. Like the extra free chocolate topping on a five scoop hot chocolate fudge with nuts, chocolate sauce, raisins etc.
An example could be: My super cool super fast car....I wish I had a red-coloured super cool super fast car."
So....my greed list -
1. Birth in a discombobulating country. Wish it was a more liberal discombobulating country.
2. I'll hopefully soon be getting a good degree from a good college. I wish I had a brilliantly-executed good degree from the good college, that is, I wish I had either learned a lot lot more from it, or had at least obtained outstanding grades. (or both?)
3. A valuable sense of humor. I wish I had a better appreciated (specially by others) valuable sense of humor.
4. A good family. I wish I had a more-populated good family. :P
5. A belief in some god-like thing. Wish I had an unshakeable belief in the god-like thing.
Now, I tag AJ. I guess my other blogging friends who visit this blog have already done this tag or have been tagged. Among my non-blogging friends, I'd like Sahiba (who writes wonderfully, I swear by the god-like thing) to start a blog (she actually should, for the sake of the god-like thing!) and do this tag or bear the agony of doing it on a paper and submitting it to me.
