You will agree
that there are people in the world
who haven't known the feeling of a full stomach,
and when they look, perhaps through a window,
they must wonder
at how we can often get up, with food still on the plate,
to be washed down the drain,
while it is the most natural things to do for us,
when our stomachs are full.
And so there must be people,
who wonder
at how people often leave happiness on their plates,
to go waste.
But it might be the most natural thing for them to do,
when they have enough.

Brilliant. Absolutely.
Wonderful thought.. analogies never cease to please me :-)
I wonder though
why people wouldn't just give away
the extra happiness
parts they don't need
just like some of us
the better ones
would give away food they do not need
to someone who does
but then it strikes me
that happiness
isn't finite, like food
that it could be transferred
Happiness wont decrease
if shared with another
And happiness for me
even if shared
wouldn't bring you happiness
all the time
won't satisfy your hunger.
I wondered some more
got confused
then realised
that nobody ever has enough
of happiness
We all want more
and what's lying on our plate
is probably just crumbs
we're trying to eat slow
so they don't finish
because happiness is in short supply
for everyone.
